UTS - Temporary Phlebotomist at NC State

About the role

We are seeking to hire a phlebotomist to perform phlebotomy, prep specimens, and other duties working in a medical laboratory. The purpose of our department is to provide appropriate, affordable, accessible, and high-quality primary health care to eligible students, and provide a comprehensive disease-prevention and health promotion program in the NC State University community.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service while explaining specimen collection procedures and follow-up care to patients as needed.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
• Works well with others in a team setting.
• Participates in fire and emergency preparedness drills.

Requirements and Preferences

• Experience with Electronic Health Records software.
• Phlebotomy certification is required.
• CPR certification (Basic Life Saver) required.
• Valid NC Driver's License required.

Department Information

The position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services, College of Veterinary Medicine, North Carolina State University.
