Responsibilities
- Sets up, operates, fills, empties, and identifies pre-dried hoppers, grinders, and similar equipment.
- Affirms hoppers are refilled with appropriate material using vacuum feeders or manual filling methods to ensure hoppers don’t run dry.
- Affirms that cartons and packing materials are available at workstations as needed.
- Assists in operating presses, including setup, color/material changes, and mold changes as needed and directed.
- Maintains general housekeeping.
- Gauges; trains; and assists other utilities, including taking shifts for breaks.
- Affirms that product is placed in designated Work In Progress (WIP) stores.
- Affirms that cartons are labeled according to labeling procedures.
- Maintains routes according to Systematic Load Management System (SLMS) system.
- Affirms that every tote is sampled for design intent and customer specifications before moving to the WIP line according to the Operational Inspection System (OIS).
- Understands WIP trigger labels, how to complete and sequence Production Instruction Kanbans, and to set up Bead Board.
- Maintains accurate productivity and defect information.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
Skills and Abilities
- Possesses the ability to gather and analyze information and make decisions from a limited number of choices.
- Ability to pass color hue and color blindness tests.
- A minimum score of 50 on the Wonderlic Select Assessment (Traditional score of 16 on the Cognitive portion).
