Responsibilities

  • Sets up, operates, fills, empties, and identifies pre-dried hoppers, grinders, and similar equipment.
  • Affirms hoppers are refilled with appropriate material using vacuum feeders or manual filling methods to ensure hoppers don’t run dry.
  • Affirms that cartons and packing materials are available at workstations as needed.
  • Assists in operating presses, including setup, color/material changes, and mold changes as needed and directed.
  • Maintains general housekeeping.
  • Gauges; trains; and assists other utilities, including taking shifts for breaks.
  • Affirms that product is placed in designated Work In Progress (WIP) stores.
  • Affirms that cartons are labeled according to labeling procedures.
  • Maintains routes according to Systematic Load Management System (SLMS) system.
  • Affirms that every tote is sampled for design intent and customer specifications before moving to the WIP line according to the Operational Inspection System (OIS).
  • Understands WIP trigger labels, how to complete and sequence Production Instruction Kanbans, and to set up Bead Board.
  • Maintains accurate productivity and defect information.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.

Skills and Abilities

  • Possesses the ability to gather and analyze information and make decisions from a limited number of choices.
  • Ability to pass color hue and color blindness tests.
  • A minimum score of 50 on the Wonderlic Select Assessment (Traditional score of 16 on the Cognitive portion).
