Utility, Molding - Shift 2

Responsibilities

• Sets up, operates, fills, empties, and identifies pre-dried hoppers, grinders, and similar equipment.
• Affirms hoppers are refilled with appropriate material using vacuum feeders or manual filling methods to ensure hoppers do not run empty.
• Affirms cartons and packing materials are at workstations as needed.
• Assists in operating presses including relief, setup, color/material changes, and mold changes as needed and directed.
• Maintains general housekeeping.
• Gauges; trains; and assists other utilities including relief for breaks.
• Affirms product is placed in designated Work In Progress (WIP) stores.
• Affirms cartons are labeled per labeling procedures.
• Maintains routes according to System Logistics Management System (SLMS) system.
• Affirms every tote is sampled for design intent and customer specifications prior to moving to WIP line per the Operations Information System (OIS).
• Understands WIP trigger labels, how to complete and sequence Production Instruction Kanbans, and to set up Bead Board.
• Maintains accurate productivity and defect information.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.

Skills and Abilities

• Possesses the ability to gather and analyze information and make decisions from a limited number of choices.
• Ability to pass color hue and color blindness tests.
• A minimum score of 50 on the Wonderlic Select Assessment (Traditional score of 16 on the Cognitive portion).
