Responsibilities

  • Perform dimensional, functional testing, and visual quality checks according to appropriate procedures.
  • Communicate non-conforming material (defects) to the quality group and management.
  • Accurately complete all required paperwork/documentation for the products being molded.
  • Pack finished products into cartons, bag, and affix content labels.
  • Maintain open communication to ensure all problems and changes are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Perform line clearances of affected equipment at the end of and prior to production runs.
  • Ensure all labels are correct according to the work order information.
  • Record problems during production, such as defects, statistical sampling results, and reasons for stoppages.
  • Assist other team members in cross-training and conduct on-the-job training of other associates as requested.
  • Transport all in-process and finished materials by hand, tallyho, forklift, or other available means to maintain production.
  • Cycle count inventory and help investigate discrepancies.
  • Contain rejected raw materials, semi-finished goods, and finished goods.
  • Organize, retrieve from warehouse stock locations, and properly store raw materials at workstations.
  • Perform preventative maintenance duties associated with job functions.
  • Actively participate in Continuous Improvement teams and activities, including 5S, blitzes, and Shift Start-up.
  • Continuously improve through the KAS and Safety program, meeting department goals.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workplace environment (5S), including disposal of scrap totes and containment of material around ancillary equipment.
  • Other duties as required to support the needs of the business.

Deliverables

  • Transport and containment of all materials needed to support production.
  • Immediate work area kept clean.
  • Quality products produced per manufacturing documents.
  • Accurate documentation.
  • Raw and finished material transactions with proper documentation to guide logistics, quality, production, and finance systems.
  • Compliance with production reporting guidelines utilizing MES.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED (preferred). Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience required in lieu of HS Diploma/GED.
