Molding Utility, MSG - 3rd Shift

Responsibilities

• Sets up, operates, fills, empties, and identifies pre-dried hoppers, grinders, definers, metal separator, and similar equipment.
• Affirms hoppers/dryers are refilled with appropriate material using vacuum feeders or hand fill methods to ensure hoppers don’t run empty.
• Assists in operating presses including relief, setup, color changes, and mold changes as needed and directed.
• Maintains general housekeeping.
• Gauges; trains; and assists other utilities including relief for breaks.
• Checks if dryers are on and working correctly (every shift).
• Checks and cleans filters daily (every shift).
• Maintains log books, understands, and uses supply Kanbans.
• Identifies and separates material for grinding.
• Correctly identifies material for grinding and labeling Kirby’s for material movement.
• Mixes materials by hand or system as required.
• Able to clean, operate, and maintain Maguire unit at press.
• Sorts and grinds parts as necessary.
• Performs general trouble shooting for material loader system.
• Maintains 5S and housekeeping expectations of grinder/loader area.
• Performs other work as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Possesses the ability to gather and analyze information and make decisions from a limited number of choices.
• Ability to pass color hue and color blindness test.
• A minimum score of 50 on the Wonderlic Select Assessment (Traditional score of 16 on the Cognitive portion).
