Mold Utility 3rd shift

Responsibilities

• Sets up, operates, fills, empties, and identifies pre-dried hoppers, grinders, and similar equipment.
• Affirms hoppers are refilled with appropriate material using vacuum feeders or hand fill methods to ensure hoppers don't run empty.
• Affords assistance in operating presses including relief, setup, color/material changes, and mold changes as needed and directed.
• Maintains general housekeeping.
• Gauges; trains; and affords assistance to other utilities including relief for breaks.
• Ensures product is placed in designated Work In Progress (WIP) stores.
• Ensures cartons are labeled per labeling procedures.
• Maintains routes according to System Logistics Management System (SLMS) system.
• Ensures every tote is sampled for design intent and customer specifications prior to moving to WIP line per the Operations Information System (OIS).
• Understands WIP trigger labels, how to complete and sequence Production Instruction Kanbans, and to set up Bead Board.
• Maintains accurate productivity and defect information.
• Performs other work as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

• Physically capable of walking for the entire work shift.
• Able to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Repeatedly bends and lifts during the shift.
• Able to wear steel-toe footwear.
• Adequate visual acuity to qualify for a forklift license.
• Able to operate a pallet jack for product movement.
• Able to climb ladders/stairs for material changes.
• Able to stand for entire shift.
