Utility Foreman, Grid - Louisiana
Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Supervise and perform all aspects of installation and maintenance of substation equipment.
- Supervise and organize emergency activities associated with the restoration of substation equipment.
- Provide field training to maintenance crews on a wide array of substation apparatus.
- Aid crews in performing equipment testing, including but not limited to Doble power factor, Doble breaker speed analyzer, Alber battery test set, and Kelman Profiler.
- Provide a professional point of contact for contractors, internal/external customers, and design groups.
- Ensure compliance with Configuration Management and substation equipment maintenance procedures and processes.
- Facilitate and support activities associated with the realization of departmental and company goals.
- Assure a safe work environment exists and actively and progressively require safe work behaviors and actions from all assigned crews.
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent or related work experience.
- 5+ years' experience in electric utility industry. 5-10 years' experience in electrical substation maintenance or construction preferred.
- Able to work with little direction with a high level of organization to accomplish multiple projects simultaneously.
- Available for 24-hour callout and extended hours.
- Certified and able to perform substation switching.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a TWIC Card and a CDL driver's license.
