Utility Foreman - Louisiana
Job Duties/Responsibilities
Supervise, coordinate, and assist in the construction and repair of both overhead and underground distribution.
Respond to and resolve customer issues in a timely and professional manner.
Provide leadership and training to line and service personnel.
Champion safe work practices and insure compliance to Company Safety Rules.
Work to insure network goals and objectives are met or exceeded.
Organize work and manage multiple task and inputs simultaneously.
Work with others and maintain a positive attitude in extreme working conditions.
Must have a strong attention to detail with a focus on safety and accuracy in order to direct construction/repair crews safely and to construct/restore electric system efficiently.
Absent a Line Supervisor, assume Line Supervisor's duties.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum education required of the position: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum experience required of the position: Minimum of 8 years of line experience or equivalent.
- Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position: Strong communication and organizational skills; Ability to take and understand directives and complete tasks; Required to work safely and follow all Entergy safety policies and procedures; Excellent leadership skills; Strong decision making skills; Ability to manage multiple activities and changing priorities; Self motivated and dependable team player; Ability to work well under pressure; Ability to recognize hazards in the workplace and have the ability to mitigate the hazards; Ability to maintain and care for Company equipment properly and safeguard assets.
- Desired: Ability to lead and participate in problem solving teams as required; Ability to recognize opportunities for process improvement and have the ability to enact change.
- Any certificates, licenses, etc. required of the position: Class A Commercial driver's license.
