Utilities Transmission & Distribution Field Service Consultant or Manager

Transmission & distribution (T&D) organizations must innovate, invest strategically, and modernize infrastructure to balance supply and demand, optimize assets and teams, and drive toward net-zero emissions.

About You

You are a utility industry professional with experience supporting digital transformation and enterprise asset management initiatives within transmission and distribution environments. You bring curiosity, analytical thinking, and a strong foundation in utility processes such as asset health, maintenance, and lifecycle performance. You are interested in applying new technologies—including data analytics, automation, and AI-enabled solutions—to help utilities modernize how they manage assets and improve operational outcomes. You enjoy working collaboratively to solve complex problems and are eager to grow your consulting skills by supporting both strategic initiatives and delivery execution. You are comfortable working alongside clients and cross-functional teams, contributing ideas, structuring analysis, and helping drive solutions forward. You are motivated to continuously learn, expand your technical and industry knowledge, and develop into a future leader within the Utilities consulting space.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of enterprise asset management (EAM) transformation initiatives for Utilities clients, including transmission and distribution organizations.
• Contribute to assessments, planning, design, and implementation of asset management and work management solutions.
• Help analyze client challenges and translate them into actionable recommendations and business outcomes.
• Work closely with senior team members to deliver functional and technology solutions aligned to utilities asset lifecycle management.
• Apply emerging technologies, analytics, and automation concepts to improve asset performance and maintenance strategies.
• Develop trusted working relationships with clients and internal teams, contributing to collaborative problem solving.
• Support development of presentations, analyses, and deliverables for both strategy and implementation efforts.
• Continuously build industry and technical expertise while progressing toward leadership responsibilities.
• Ability to travel for client work as needed.

Please note, we are open to hiring either Consultants (minimum of 3 years of experience) or Managers (with a minimum of 5 years of experience). We are open to hiring in most major cities across the US that are near an approved Accenture corporate office.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in utilities (gas and/or electric), consulting, or related industry roles.
• Experience supporting enterprise asset management systems or processes (e.g., IBM Maximo, Infor EAM, SAP PM, or similar).
• Exposure to asset management, maintenance, or work management processes within utilities environments.
• For Managers: at least two years of experience in a functional consulting role for a leading professional services firm.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

Pay

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. Annual salary ranges for this role by location are as follows:

• California: $70,350 to $205,800
• Cleveland: $59,100 to $164,600
• Colorado: $63,800 to $177,800
• District of Columbia: $68,000 to $189,300
• Illinois: $59,100 to $177,800
• Maine: $54,400 to $151,400
• Maryland: $63,800 to $177,800
• Massachusetts: $63,800 to $189,300
• Minnesota: $63,800 to $177,800
• New York: $66,300 to $205,800
• New Jersey: $68,000 to $205,800
• Virginia: $59,100 to $189,300
• Washington: $80,200 to $189,300
