About the role

This hybrid position in Madison, WI offers a competitive salary of $135,000 to $145,000 along with a bonus program, stock options and generous benefits, including paid time off. The User Experience (UX) Designer is dedicated to improving customer and developer efficiency in our user interfaces through workflow and visual design.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct user research to identify user workflow needs.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for web and mobile applications.
  • Collaborate with customers, product managers and developers to ensure design feasibility and alignment with project goals.
  • Perform usability testing to gather feedback and iterate on designs.
  • Develop and maintain design systems and guidelines that ensure consistency across products.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies to inform design strategies.
  • Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders, clearly articulating design decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as graphic design, computer science, or marketing.
  • Experience as a User Experience Designer, Interaction Designer, or similar role, with on-the-job experience or formal education such as a UX design certificate or degree.
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools used with React, React Native, and mobile apps, Figma, and the Material UI design library.
  • Experience with user research methodologies, usability testing, and data analysis.
  • Experience using AI tools in a design or product workflow.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience as a User Experience Designer, Interaction Designer, or similar role.
  • Portfolio showcasing several user experience projects and design solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present and justify design decisions effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Comfort using AI tools to support research, ideation, UX copy, and documentation in daily design work.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $135,000 to $145,000, with a potential bonus program and stock options.
