Responsibilities
- Leads or participates in user research activities, including design thinking workshops, interviews, contextual observation, and user testing, both formal and informal.
- Defines, develops, and socializes a clear vision for innovative design and big picture thinking while not sacrificing speed of delivery.
- Confidently shares and discusses design solutions with team members, stakeholders, and senior leaders.
- Works with team to define project scope, milestones, timelines, and resource allocations while actively mitigating project risks and challenges.
- Contributes to crafting and communicating design strategies and visions that inspire and motivate.
- Upholds design requirements and brand standards to create a unified design language across our products.
- Creates journey maps, personas, user flows, wireframes, motion studies, mockups, and low to medium fidelity prototypes.
- Contributes to user stories to aid in communicating design intent.
- Leverages data such as analytics and user research insights to inform design decisions to address business goals.
- Incorporates user feedback into the iterative design process.
- Stays up to date with design trends, best practices, and emerging technologies, bringing fresh ideas and innovative design approaches to the solutions.

Requirements
- Seven or more years of experience in UX design.
- Experience in applications development.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- Proficient in industry-standard design, wireframing, and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma).
- Four (4) or more years communicating UX to stakeholders, leaders, and developers via flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.
- Strong track record of synthesizing qualitative and quantitative research into clear artifacts such as journey maps, experience maps, personas, and flow diagrams.
- Skilled at designing and running both formal and informal usability testing, and translating findings into actionable design decisions.
- Freshly fluent in applying generative AI and LLM-based tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) across UX design and research workflows — from accelerating ideation and artifact generation to synthesizing qualitative insights at scale (e.g., summarizing interviews, clustering findings, and identifying patterns across large datasets).
- Experience setting up, evolving, and governing design systems (Knapsack a plus), including exploring AI-enabled capabilities such as component generation, pattern recommendations, and design-to-code automation.
- Skilled at identifying and implementing opportunities to integrate AI into enterprise user experiences and business workflows.
- Comfortable with prompt engineering and structured prompt design as a core part of a modern UX practice.
- Skilled at designing for emerging user technologies such as LLMs, AR/VR, and voice/conversational interfaces.
- Comfortable operating as an integrated member of an agile scrum team and contributing to Agile user stories.
- Adaptable and forward-leaning — passionate about continuously evolving design and research practices in response to emerging AI-driven workflows.
- Prior UX experience in a regulated industry such as utilities, banking, or telecom.
