User Experience (UX) Designer
About the role
This hybrid position in Madison, WI offers a competitive salary of $135,000 to $145,000 along with a bonus program, stock options, and generous benefits, including paid time off.
Responsibilities
- Conduct user research to identify user workflow needs
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for web and mobile applications
- Collaborate with customers, product managers, and developers to ensure design feasibility and alignment with project goals
- Perform usability testing to gather feedback and iterate on designs
- Develop and maintain design systems and guidelines that ensure consistency across products
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies to inform design strategies
- Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders, clearly articulating design decisions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as graphic design, computer science, or marketing
- Experience as a User Experience Designer, Interaction Designer, or similar role
- Experience using AI tools in a design or product workflow
Qualifications
- 5+ years' experience as a User Experience Designer, Interaction Designer, or similar role
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools used with React, React Native, and mobile apps
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for close collaboration with developers
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present and justify design decisions effectively
- Strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail
- Comfort using AI tools to support research, ideation, UX copy, and documentation in daily design work
