User Experience Researcher (Bothell, WA)
About the role
A User Experience Researcher at Philips Oral Healthcare, you will provide strategic guidance on user research methodologies, prioritize medical device product studies, and extract user insights to align with project objectives. Representing the voice of the customer, you will engage stakeholders, validate high-level value propositions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize requirements.
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced strategic guidance on user research methodologies
- Prioritize medical device product studies
- Extract user insights to align with project objectives
- Develop the overall user research plans for value proposition and/or product development projects
- Engage stakeholders to validate abstract high-level value propositions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize requirements based on importance, resources, and potential outcomes
Requirements
- 3+ years of research experience with a Bachelor’s degree in areas such as User Experience (UX) Design, Information Architecture, User Research, Product Design, Usability Testing or equivalent
- Skills in medical device development, app development, and/or clinical research; with GCP (Good Clinical Practice) and GDP (Good Documentation Practice) a strong plus
- Ability to perform comprehensive root cause analysis of moderate customer complaints, identify systemic issues, and devise and enact sustainable solutions or process enhancements aimed at preempting recurrence of similar complaints in the future
Qualifications
- Solid research skills from planning to reporting, including survey design and the moderation of in-person qualitative research
Skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience with medical device development and usability testing
- Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement solutions

Pay
The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity. In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered.
