Assist in the operation of multiple facilities, performing additional job-related responsibilities as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Sets up and configures various low voltage systems (e.g., security systems, fire alarms, CCTV, audio/video systems, network cabling).
- Runs, terminates, and labels cables according to project requirements and industry standards.
- Performs regular maintenance checks to ensure system functionality and reliability.
- Identifies and resolves issues in low voltage systems promptly to minimize downtimes.
- Fixes faults or damages in systems, ensuring restoration to optimal working condition.
- Provides technical support, training, and assistance to end users on operating and maintaining low voltage systems.
- Addresses customer inquiries and concerns professionally and efficiently.
- Ensures all installations and repairs adhere to local, state, and federal regulations.
- Follows all safety guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintains accurate and detailed records of installations, maintenance, and repairs.
- Generates reports on system performance, issues resolved, and maintenance activities.
- Evaluates existing systems to determine if upgrades or enhancements are needed.
- Performs system upgrades to improve performance or comply with new standards.
- Collaborates with other technicians, engineers, and project managers to ensure successful project completion.
- Communicates effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide appropriate solutions.
- Stays updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
- Leads and participates in teams by sharing resources, information, and tools.

Physical Requirements
- Communicates effectively in person or via telecommunications equipment.

- Moves, lifts, carries, and places objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.

- Reaches overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- Safely operates a motor vehicle and large power equipment.
- Sits, stands, squats, kneels, or crawls for extended periods.
- Visually inspects equipment and locates merchandise or objects.
- Creates documents and reports using writing instruments or electronic devices.

Travel
- Domestic travel to and from multiple facilities or work-sites, requiring consecutive overnight stays.
- Works or trains at multiple facilities or distant locations (extended travel of seven days or more is not required except for management training or emergencies).
Work Environment
- Moves through narrow, confined spaces such as stacks of merchandise, storage areas, and closets.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior work experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Prior work experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
- Prior work experience with local electrical codes and standards.
- Commercial driving record with no DUI, DWI, or OUI convictions within the last five years.
- Commercial driving record with no more than two moving violations within the last three years.
- Commercial driving record with no preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle within the last three years.
- Commercial driving record with no serious traffic violations (as defined by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations) within the last three years.
- Ability to successfully complete a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and obtain medical certification valid for at least one year.
- Ability to read and speak English as required by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
- Option 1: 1 year’s experience in electrical, material handling equipment, or related technical trade.
- Option 2: 2 years’ Walmart store experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Training or certification in low voltage systems.
- BICSI Installer Certification.
- CompTIA certifications for networking (e.g., Network+).
- Manufacturer-specific certifications (e.g., Honeywell, Axis, or Bosch systems).
- OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification/training.
- NICET Level 1 or 2 Fire Alarm Certification.
- Experience using intermediate-level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
