About the role

This position oversees facility operations, merchandising, and company direction, providing supervision and development opportunities for management and hourly associates. The role requires managing a diverse team in a competitive market with significant challenges such as high turnover and inexperienced associates.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and communicates a strategic vision aligned with company market and local plans and tactics.
  • Leverages the Open Door Policy to meet with associates, research issues, and provide resolutions.
  • Holds hourly associates and managers accountable for compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Manages financial performance by ensuring sales and profit goals are met and implementing process improvements.
  • Drives sales by accounting for multiple dynamic indicators and ensuring effective merchandise presentation.
  • Ensures the success of the Academy training environment and store standards by meeting store requirements and engaging associates.
  • Models and enforces company standards of integrity and ethics, integrating these values into all programs and practices.
  • Builds high-performing teams, embraces differences, and creates a workplace where associates feel seen, supported, and connected.
  • Strives for excellence by displaying curiosity, taking calculated risks, and encouraging learning from mistakes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 2 years general management experience, including financial accountability and 4 years' experience supervising at least 50 nonexempt and at least 5 exempt associates/employees, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and termination.
  • 4 years general management experience, including financial accountability and 4 years' experience supervising at least 50 nonexempt and at least 5 exempt associates/employees, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and termination.
  • For facilities selling firearms, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training.
  • For facilities selling only ammunition and having state-specific requirements, a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility.

Pay

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $170,000.00, with additional compensation for certain positions including Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) and Complex Structure.
