Collaborating closely with product, engineering, and data science teams, we lead cross-functional initiatives to improve personalized content retrieval and algorithmic ranking. We develop dynamic business controls balancing customer intent, organic relevance, and monetization in real time. This data-driven approach delivers an intuitive discovery experience for millions of shoppers while optimizing multiple business levers. What you'll do
- Drive the planning and execution of Search, Personalization, and Walmart Connect programs, aligning technology capabilities with ad revenue and search relevance goals
- Maintain program charters and baselines across content retrieval and algorithmic ranking, coordinating Product, Engineering, and Data Science teams to deliver integrated solutions
- Help configure and manage dynamic business dials to arbitrate search experiences, balancing customer intent, relevance, and monetization targets
- Build cross-functional alignment, facilitating operational discussions and collaborating with decision-makers through hands-on data analysis
- Investigate performance data to monitor program health, evaluate trade-offs, and optimize day-to-day execution
- Translate commercial requirements into actionable search and ad-tech operational plans that support sustainable growth across Walmart
What you'll bring
- Proven track record managing technology programs in search, e-commerce, or retail media, focusing on operational delivery and ROI
- Strong hands-on data proficiency, analyzing performance datasets to evaluate trade-offs and guide day-to-day decisions
- Demonstrated cross-functional collaboration skills to align deliverables across Product, Engineering, and Data Science teams
- Practical understanding of search retrieval and ranking, with experience supporting business controls that balance user experience and revenue
- Solid foundation in program health monitoring, risk mitigation, and performance tracking to ensure reliable execution
- Ability to translate commercial needs into actionable project plans and technical requirements
- Clear communication skills, adept at presenting data-driven insights to both technical and business partners
Qualifications
Minimum: Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, industrial engineering, engineering management, business, information systems, project/program management, information technology, finance, management, or related area and 5 years' experience in project management, program management, program operations, or related area. Option 2: 7 years' experience in project management, program management, program operations, or related area. 2 years' supervisory experience.
Preferred: Master's degree in computer science, management information systems, industrial engineering, engineering management, business, information systems, project/program management, information technology, finance, management, or related area and 4 years' experience in project management, program management, program operations, or related area. We value candidates with a background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly. Pay
The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00 - $234,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses and may also include stock.
