The Senior Manager, Finance plays a critical role in driving financial planning, analysis, and risk mitigation to support business performance. This position leads complex financial modeling, develops control structures, and partners cross-functionally to enhance reporting transparency and operational efficiency.
What you'll do
- Prepare financial analyses and models to support planning and recommend future expense targets.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to analyze business performance and enhance financial reporting transparency.
- Manage complex control structures to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Develop and present financial forecasts, assumptions, and business cases to senior and executive management.
- Lead execution of business plans by identifying needs, setting priorities, and monitoring progress to achieve objectives.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop associates, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- Promote continuous improvement by evaluating current initiatives and implementing efficiency enhancements.
About the team
The Enterprise Financial Services team supports Walmart’s US Financial Services portfolio, including Walmart’s business and majority-owned FinTech joint ventures, ONE and TailFin. This team leads finance, strategy, partnerships, and new product launches across physical and digital channels. It plays a vital role in Walmart’s US operations and drives innovation in the Financial Services industry’s digital transformation.

- Proven ability to develop and present detailed financial models and forecasts to senior leadership.
- Strong skills in risk mitigation and control management to ensure accuracy and compliance.

- Demonstrated leadership in mentoring and developing finance associates to achieve team objectives.
- Expertise in driving continuous improvement processes and aligning financial strategies with business goals.
- Proficiency in managing profit and loss responsibilities and supporting business decision-making.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field and 4 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or related area OR 6 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or related area.
- 1 year’s experience leading and completing cross-functional projects.
- 1 year’s supervisory experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Analyzing data and interpreting results, Microsoft Office, Working in a large, complex, matrixed organization
- Masters: Business Administration
