About the role
The primary objective of this position is to provide financial leadership for the Month end, Plan, LBE, LRP planning and DSO / Balance Sheet processes. The position will be responsible for providing financial analysis, recommendations and decision-making support. This position is responsible for developing and implementing processes and procedures to facilitate accurate and timely consolidations of planning processes.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Planning/Actual process that ensures an accurate and timely integration of forecasting/sales, pricing, product marketing, market research and senior financial management level inputs to meet overall division/corporate calendar deadlines and quality submission
- The position has responsibility for preparing and presenting accurate and complete Planning information to the Executive Staff and Corporate Planning Groups
- Provide recommendations to Sr. Management on planning key assumptions and analysis to explain variances as well as business trends. This position will require a large amount of interface across senior management within the group and multiple functions including areas/affiliates
- Play a key role in SAC go live (including UAT) and ensure all reports / dashboards are completely and accurately transferred over from Longview to SAC
- Staff Development - Responsible for delegating to and coaching staff to ensure an optimal level of support for the businesses supported. Additionally, will provide coaching and career development opportunities to sustain a high performing staff
- Additionally, the position will interface with multiple functions within and outside the Business Unit such as Operations, R&D, Corporate Planning and other Corporate Groups. Individual is expected to successfully perform responsibilities with a high degree of self-motivation and autonomy
- Acts as a trusted advisor who effectively challenges business partners on their performance and suggests possible solutions to performance issues
- Proactively leads Finance Transformation / Lighthouse initiatives to deliver on company-wide objectives to achieve simplification and efficiency while improving quality of deliverables
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree Required in Accounting or Finance
- PREFERRED: MBA in Accounting or Finance and/or CPA/CMA
- PREFERRED: Multi-division experience and knowledge of the financial planning systems (Longview and BPC) and process
- Requires 7-10 years progressive accounting or finance experience
- Ability and desire to proactively search out and evaluate business problems and opportunities
- Capability to direct efforts to achieve answers and results
- Ability to solve business problems through the proactive identification of issues and subsequent collection, analysis and interpretation of related data
- Demonstrated problem solving and analysis within a broad framework of AbbVie’s financial policies (CFMs), and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

Pay
$124,500 - $236,500 USD
