Elevate the quality, clarity, and impact of all marketing communications in support of product, brand, and growth marketing efforts for the Walmart Data Ventures marketing team. Ensure visual designs are strategically aligned, compelling, cohesive, and creatively differentiated across touchpoints. Oversee high-quality design development, guide two designers, and contribute hands-on to your own assignments. Bridge product marketing strategy with powerful storytelling and polished creative output.
About the team
The Creative Team, within the Data Ventures Product Marketing group, comprises design, writing, and video professionals focused on advancing Walmart’s market presence. This team develops marketing communications aligned with business objectives, driving adoption through demand marketing (targeting new prospects) and customer marketing (aimed at existing users). They collaborate across functions to deliver innovative creative assets that support brand consistency and business growth. The team values adaptability, strategic thinking, and effective project management.
Responsibilities
- Lead creative asset development across multiple projects, ensuring alignment with marketing strategies and customer experience goals.
- Review and interpret creative briefs to guide visual branding for digital, print, video, and packaging materials.
- Manage and advance brand voice consistently across channels, including websites and campaigns.
- Oversee project execution, budget management, and collaboration with internal teams and external agencies.
- Coach and mentor team members, fostering skill development and performance improvement.
- Drive innovation by applying industry trends and adapting strategies to meet business needs.
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts to ensure campaign alignment and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading creative asset development and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong expertise in reviewing and interpreting creative briefs to align with marketing strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to manage visual branding across digital, print, and packaging channels.
- Skilled in executing innovative creative strategies informed by industry trends and business needs.
- Effective project management capabilities, including budget oversight and team leadership.
- Proficiency in contingency planning, adaptability, and collaboration with internal and external partners.
- Experience mentoring and developing team members to enhance performance and skills.
- Familiarity with Adobe InDesign and procurement processes to support creative initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Arts, Finance, or related field; or
- 2 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field.
- Preferred: Experience in digital content management, editorial, retail management, supervising associates, or working with creative agencies.

Pay
Annual salary range: $90,000.00 – $180,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses and stock for certain positions.
