Position Summary

The role involves developing creative briefs based on customer insights, collaborating with creative teams, distilling research findings, and creating audience-focused communication plans.

What you'll do

  • Creative brief development for campaigns spanning the entire marketing funnel
  • Collaboration with creative teams throughout the creative process from briefing, conception, and into production
  • Distillation of key learnings from qualitative and quantitative research, and past campaign performance in partnership with the Consumer Insights team
  • Development of audience-first communications plans that align messages, media, and audiences across paid, owned, earned, and shared channels
  • Establishing strong, collaborative, and trusting relationships across Walmart Creative and our partners
  • Challenging the status quo to deliver creative that drives connection and action
  • Being relentlessly curious and reframing challenges to create opportunities for new ideas and activations

What you'll bring

  • 7+ years of Creative Strategy and Comms Planning experience at an in-house or external creative agency
  • Proven track record of articulating clear and compelling customer insights in tight creative briefs
  • Experience working closely with creative teams from briefing, conception, and into production
  • Skilled researcher and analyst comfortable with a variety of quantitative and qualitative inputs and identifying what is most relevant
  • A deep understanding of how to connect business goals and brand objectives to clear Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • An excellent ability to build decks and narratives to educate, influence buy-in, and sell through ideas

Team members contribute to advancing the brand through creative content and design systems, working closely with marketing and external partners to ensure alignment and impact. The team values continuous learning, creativity, and delivering measurable results.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Design, Marketing, Creative Writing, Advertising, Fine Arts, or related field and 3 years' experience in editorial content management or related field OR 5 years' experience in editorial content management or related field.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Digital Content Management, Editorial, Retail Management, Supervising Associates, WE-Working for or with Creative Agencies
