About the role

Develops tools that support project initiatives, such as feedback collection and gap identification tools, by identifying and determining information and tool requirements, gathering and analyzing data, designing and formatting tools, assessing enhancement requirements, implementing the finalized product, tracking usage and feedback, addressing or escalating issues as needed, and maintaining tools and reports.

Leads large projects or multiple medium-sized projects by defining scope and objectives, working with business units to identify goals, success criteria, assumptions, risks, and known issues, coordinating planning activities (e.g., business requirements, risk assessment, current and desired state diagrams, target dates), assembling management plans, developing and implementing resource plans, monitoring budgets and costs, managing changes (e.g., scope, schedule, costs), and ensuring adherence to established project standards.

Analyzes business efficiencies for Walmart Central Operations sustainment and implementation projects using various analytical methodologies, developing creative solutions to reduce costs or meet business goals, prioritizing assignments, ensuring data accuracy, identifying improvement opportunities, probing root causes of problems, developing and automating tools to support project analytics, and communicating project metrics to leadership.

Provides expert advice and guidance to others, supports alignment with customer and business needs, and builds commitment for perspectives and rationales to improve action plans.

Builds relationships with key stakeholders, identifies business needs, determines necessary processes and practices, monitors progress and results, recognizes improvement opportunities, and adapts to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Arts, Sciences, Business, or related field and 2 years’ experience in project management, operations management, or related field OR 4 years’ experience in project management, operations management, or related field.
  • Attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Developing reporting, database, and/or feedback tools.
  • Leading a cross-functional team.
  • Writing queries, report automation, or related skills (e.g., SQL queries, Microsoft Excel macro development).

Pay

The annual salary range for this position is $84,000.00 - $126,000.00. Additional compensation may include annual or quarterly performance bonuses, Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) adjustments (based on location), and stock.
