Position Summary

TourtoTeach leads and develops teams by teaching training and actively listening to associates. They communicate and collaborate with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilize technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. They introduce and lead company change efforts, provide clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions, and communicate business objectives to teams effectively.

What you'll do...

  • Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards to store associates by following and demonstrating the One Best Way (OBW) service model.
  • Manages and supports customer service initiatives such as Store of the Community and community outreach programs.
  • Ensures customer needs, complaints, and issues are successfully resolved by developing and implementing action plans to correct deficiencies and providing process improvement leadership to ensure a high quality customer experience.
  • Drives the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating PL Profit Loss statements, managing and assisting in budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses, ensuring they are indexed to sales, monitoring, and ensuring effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes. Develops and implements action plans to mitigate shrink and ensure sales and profit goals are achieved for the business area.
  • Supervises and develops opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting clear expectations, providing associate recognition, communicating expectations consistently and effectively, promoting a belonging mindset in the workplace, recruiting, and developing qualified associates to meet staffing needs and achieve company growth potential.
  • Collaborates with key stakeholders to coordinate, complete, and oversee job-related activities and assignments. Supports plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs, identifies and communicates goals and objectives, builds accountability for and measures progress in achieving results, identifies and addresses improvement opportunities, and demonstrates adaptability and promotes continuous learning.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures by implementing related action plans, utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy, providing direction and guidance on applying these in executing business processes and practices, respecting individuals, working collaboratively, building strong and trusting relationships, communicating with impact, energy, and positivity to motivate and influence, attracting and retaining the best talent, empowering and developing talent, recognizing others' contributions and accomplishments, acting with integrity, serving our customers and members, striving for excellence, displaying curiosity and a desire to learn, taking calculated risks, demonstrating courage and resilience, encouraging learning from mistakes, striving for excellence, driving continuous improvements, adopting and encouraging the use of new technologies and skills, and supporting others through change.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2 years’ of college;
  • OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience;
  • OR 2 years’ general work experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University;
  • General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports to include the responsibility of performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.

Additional Information

The hourly wage range for this position is $31.25 - $38.46*. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location), State Pay Differential (where applicable).
