Position Summary
TourToTeach communicates and collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching training and actively listening to associates, providing feedback, and introducing and leading company change efforts.
What you'll do...
- Teaches and trains teams, actively listens to associates, provides feedback, and introduces company change efforts.
- Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards by following and demonstrating the One Best Way (OBW) service model.
- Manages and supports customer service initiatives such as Store of the Community and community outreach programs.
- Ensures customer needs, complaints, and issues are successfully resolved by developing and implementing action plans to correct deficiencies.
- Provides process improvement leadership to ensure a high quality customer experience.
- Drives the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating PL Profit Loss statements, managing and assisting in budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses.
- Maintains and ensures effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes.
- Develops and implements action plans to mitigate shrink and ensure sales and profit goals are achieved for the business area.
- Supervises and develops opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, providing clear expectations, recognizing associates, and promoting a belonging mindset in the workplace.
- Hires, trains, mentors, assigns duties, provides recognition, and promotes a belonging mindset in the workplace for associates.
- Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs, identifying and communicating goals and objectives, building accountability for and measuring progress in achieving results, identifying and addressing improvement opportunities, and demonstrating adaptability and promoting continuous learning.
- Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures by implementing related action plans, utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy, and providing direction and guidance on applying these in executing business processes and practices.

Minimum Qualifications
- 2 years’ of college; OR
- 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience; OR
- 2 years’ general work experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
- General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports to include the responsibility of performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.

- Hourly wage range for this position is $31.25 - $38.46*.
- This job has an additional differential to meet legislative requirements, where applicable.

Pay and Benefits
- The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
- Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
- Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location), State Pay Differential.
Additional Notes
- For facilities that sell firearms, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training is required.
- For facilities that sell only ammunition and have state-specific requirements, a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required.
