Position Summary
TourtoTeach leads and develops teams by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates. They communicate and collaborate with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilize technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. They introduce and lead company change efforts, provide clear expectations and guidance, and implement business solutions.
What you'll do...
- Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards by following and demonstrating the One Best Way (OBW) service model.
- Manages and supports customer service initiatives such as Store of the Community and community outreach programs.
- Ensures customer needs, complaints, and issues are successfully resolved by developing and implementing action plans to correct deficiencies and providing process improvement leadership.
- Drives the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating Profit & Loss (PL) statements, managing and assisting in budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses.
- Monitors and ensures effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes, and develops and implements action plans to mitigate shrink and ensure sales and profit goals are achieved.
- Supervises and develops opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting clear expectations, providing associate recognition, and promoting a belonging mindset in the workplace.
- Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs, and identifying and addressing improvement opportunities.
- Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures by implementing related action plans, utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy, and providing direction and guidance on applying these in executing business processes and practices.
- Respects individuals by building high-performing teams, embracing differences, creating a workplace where associates feel seen, supported, and connected through a culture of belonging, and recruiting and developing qualified associates to meet staffing needs and achieve company growth potential.

Pay and Benefits
- The hourly wage range for this position is $31.25 - $38.46.
- Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
- Additional compensation for certain positions may also include Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location), State Pay Differential, and other benefits such as health benefits, financial benefits, and paid time off.

- Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. Programs range from high school completion to bachelor's degrees, including English Language Learning and short-form certificates. Tuition, books, and fees are completely paid for by Walmart.

Minimum Qualifications
- 2 years’ of college; OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience; OR 2 years’ general work experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience.
- For facilities that sell firearms, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training is required.
- For facilities that sell only ammunition and have state-specific requirements, a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
- General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports to include the responsibility of performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
