About the role

Drives sales through effective merchandise presentation, including accurate and competitive pricing, proper signing, inventory management, cleanliness, and assessing economic trends and community needs. Oversees stocking, rotation, display setup, and security of merchandise.

Leads and develops teams by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates. Provides feedback through store tours, communicates business objectives, and supports company change efforts.

Models exceptional customer service by following the One Best Way (OBW) service model, managing customer service initiatives, resolving complaints, and implementing action plans to improve the customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and develop hourly associates through hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting expectations, and providing recognition.
  • Control unexplained merchandise loss and improve profitability by setting performance goals, measuring adherence to loss prevention policies, and reviewing inventory variances.
  • Conduct operational and pre-inventory reviews, gather data, audit results, and monitor deficiency trends to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Investigate alleged fraud, policy violations, and illegal activities; gather evidence, take statements, write case reports, and provide courtroom testimony as needed.
  • Monitor safety and risk controls, supervise safety team members, identify accident trends, and implement solutions to prevent accidents.
  • Manage facility-level training and execution of asset protection, safety, claims, and receiving procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards; support company mission, values, and initiatives.
  • Build high-performing teams, foster a culture of belonging, and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, communicate business objectives, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Deliver results with a customer-first mindset, balancing short- and long-term priorities using data-driven insights.

Requirements

  • Completion of 2 years of college, or
  • 1 year’s experience as a supervisor in a multi-department environment, or
  • 1 year’s experience in accounting, claims, inventory control, systems/UPC, personnel, or loss prevention/asset protection in a multi-department environment, or
  • 2 years’ experience in asset protection or a related area.
  • Successful completion of any applicable state requirements to work in asset protection (e.g., minimum age, specialized training, certification, and/or licensing).
  • If applicable, acquisition of a current, state-issued Certificate of Eligibility.
  • If applicable, successful completion of criminal background check and/or firearms authorized training.
  • Ability to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership or Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
  • Certification in an asset protection-related field (e.g., Loss Prevention Qualified, Loss Prevention Certified).
  • General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
  • Investigative experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Criminal Justice.

Pay

The annual salary range for this position is $65,000.00 - $100,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Regional Pay Zone (RPZ), Complex Structure adjustments, and state pay differentials may apply where applicable.
