This position drives sales by ensuring effective merchandise presentation. Key responsibilities include accurate and competitive pricing, proper inventory management, cleanliness, assessing economic trends, and community needs.
Responsibilities
- Ensures accurate and competitive pricing
- Oversees the stocking and rotation of merchandise
- Assesses economic trends and community needs
- Oversees the setup and organization of product displays
- Secures fragile and high-shrinkage merchandise
- Manages and develops teams by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates
- Tourstores and provides feedback to associates
- Communicates and collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations
- Utilizes technology and business initiatives
- Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards
- Manages and supports customer service initiatives such as store of the community and community outreach programs
- Safeguards customer needs, complaints, and issues by resolving them and implementing corrective actions
- Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates
- Trains managers and associates on operational controls and processes
- Monitors and controls unexplained loss of merchandise to improve profitability
- Trains managers and associates on operational controls and processes in multiple stores
- Detects, deters, investigates, and resolves violations of company policies and criminal activities
- Monitors safety and risk controls within a facility
- Manages facility-level training and execution of asset protection, safety, and claims and receiving procedures
- Manages claims and receiving operations by ensuring proper policies and procedures are followed
- Ensures timely processing of claims, including damaged, defective, returned, and merchandise deliveries
- Provides direction for claims or receiving issues
- Maintains necessary documentation and reporting
- Supports collaborative efforts with other investigative entities
- Manages facility-level training and execution of asset protection, safety, and claims and receiving procedures
- Identifies gaps in expectations versus training and determines training needs
- Develops and delivers training as needed
- Manages claims and receiving operations by ensuring proper policies and procedures are followed
- Ensures the timely processing of claims, including damaged, defective, returned, and merchandise deliveries
- Provides direction for claims or receiving issues
- Maintains necessary documentation and reporting
- Coordinates and oversees job-related activities and assignments

Requirements
Completion of 2 years of college. Options include 1 year’s experience as a supervisor in a multi-department environment, 1 year’s experience in one of the following areas: accounting, claims, inventory control, systems/UPC, personnel, or loss prevention/asset protection in a multi-department environment, 2 years’ experience in asset protection or related area, and successful completion of any applicable state requirements to work in asset protection (for example, minimum age, specialized training, certification and/or licensing).

Preferred skills include a bachelor's degree in business management and leadership, investigative experience, and certification in an asset protection related field.
