About the role

We are seeking a friendly and compassionate Urology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our team. You will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive care to patients with urological conditions, including urinary tract infections, kidney stones, prostate issues, and other urological disorders. This is an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of patients while working alongside a dedicated team of healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic testing
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and medical guidelines
  • Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
  • Provide patient education, counseling, and support on disease management, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care
  • Diagnose and treat residents with urology conditions, diseases, and infections
  • Document patient encounters, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes, using electronic medical record systems

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 months of experience in long-term care or a skilled nursing facility
  • Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Physician license
  • DEA License
  • CPR BCLS/BLS certified
  • Master's Degree in Nursing
  • Completed a degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
  • A year of experience in Urology
  • Preferred experience in documenting EMR (Sigma, Visual, PCC, etc.); training provided
  • Great organizational and time management skills
  • Travel between assigned facilities is required
  • Able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds and stand/walk/work on your feet up to 6-8 hours per day
