About the role
We are seeking a friendly and compassionate Urology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our team. You will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive care to patients with urological conditions, including urinary tract infections, kidney stones, prostate issues, and other urological disorders. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic testing
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and medical guidelines
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
- Provide patient education, counseling, and support on disease management, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care
- Diagnose and treat residents with urology conditions, diseases, and infections
- Document patient encounters, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes, using electronic medical record systems
Requirements
- Minimum 6 months of experience in long-term care or a skilled nursing facility
- Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Physician license
- DEA License
- CPR BCLS/BLS certified
- Master's Degree in Nursing
- Completed a degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- A year of experience in Urology
- Preferred experience in documenting EMR (Sigma, Visual, PCC, etc.); training provided
- Great organizational and time management skills
- Travel between assigned facilities is required
- Able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds and stand/walk/work on your feet up to 6-8 hours per day
