About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic, nurturing, and dedicated Universal Pre-K (UPK) Teacher to become part of our exceptional early childhood education team. Schedule
- Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
- School-Year Position (follows the Midlakes Central School District Calendar)
- Enjoy school holidays, recesses, and breaks off
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field required
- Must be willing to pursue New York State Early Childhood Teaching Certification if not already certified
- Experience working with preschool-aged children preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills
- Passion for creating a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate UPK curriculum aligned with New York State standards
- Foster a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment
- Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- Assess student progress and maintain required documentation
- Collaborate with staff to ensure every child has the opportunity to succeed
