UPK Teacher Aide 8:30-3:00

Location: Cayuga Heights Elementary
Type: Full-time, 10-month position
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Start date: September 2, 2026
Salary: $19.75 per hour

Responsibilities

• Assist students transition throughout the building
• Assist with monitoring student reading instruction
• Meet with students in the foyer before and after school at Cayuga Heights Elementary
• Monitor students for toileting needs and provide assistance as needed
• Assist classroom teacher with additional tasks as requested

Desired Qualifications

• Ability to establish good relationships and get along with children, maintain order, and ensure that school regulations are followed
• Ability to collaborate with teachers, administration, and staff
• Good power of observation and dependability
• Prior experience caring for students with disabilities
• Understanding and respect for confidentiality

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma; OR
• Four (4) years experience in the care and supervision of children; OR
• An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the above limits
