About the role

The Philadelphia VA Medical Center (PVAMC) and the Division of Renal-Electrolyte and Hypertension in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching Penn medical students, residents, and clinical fellows
  • Outpatient and inpatient clinical care as a general nephrology consultant
  • Freestanding VA outpatient hemodialysis unit
  • Acute inpatient dialysis unit
  • May include specific areas of interest such as home dialysis, glomerular disease, or onco-nephrology

Requirements

  • M.D. or equivalent degree
  • Board certified in Nephrology

Qualifications

  • Outstanding clinician with demonstrated excellence in patient care and education
  • 100 credits per year of active and high-quality teaching
