About the role
The Philadelphia VA Medical Center (PVAMC) and the Division of Renal-Electrolyte and Hypertension in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track.
Responsibilities
- Teaching responsibilities may include teaching Penn medical students, residents, and clinical fellows.
- Outstanding clinicians with demonstrated excellence in patient care and education are sought.
- Teaching load is 100 credits per year of active and high-quality teaching.
- Provide clinical care in both inpatient and outpatient settings as a general nephrology consultant.
- May provide clinical care in a freestanding VA outpatient hemodialysis unit and in an acute inpatient dialysis unit.
- A specific area of interest such as home dialysis, glomerular disease, or onco-nephrology is highly desirable.
- Participation in clinical research is encouraged but not required.
Requirements
- An M.D. or equivalent degree.
- Board certified in Nephrology.
