About the role

The Division of Renal-Electrolyte and Hypertension in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Associate or Full Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track.

Responsibilities

  • Expertise in the specific area of care of patients with glomerular disease and additional training and expertise in transplant nephrology.
  • Board certified in Nephrology.
  • Teaching responsibilities may include teaching Penn students, residents, and fellows.
  • Academic clinician track requires 100 credits per year of active and high-quality teaching.
  • Outstanding educator.
  • Provide direct clinical inpatient and outpatient nephrology patient care at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania as a renal consultant.
  • Manage transplant patients and patients with glomerular diseases, nephrolithiasis, electrolyte disorders, complex hypertension, chronic kidney diseases, and acute kidney injury.
  • Attend at an outpatient hemodialysis unit and inpatient dialysis unit.
  • Ability to provide management and/or leadership.

Requirements

Applicants must have an M.D. degree.

Candidates should be outstanding educators.
