About the role

The Division of Renal-Electrolyte and Hypertension in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of advanced CKD and ESKD management, including in-center and home dialysis.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching responsibilities may include teaching medical students, residents, and fellows at the Perelman School of Medicine and the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
  • Academic clinician track requires 100 credits per year of active and high-quality teaching.
  • Clinical responsibilities may include ambulatory care and consultative hospital-based care to general nephrology patients at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and within a large, affiliated dialysis program.

Requirements

  • Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree.
  • Applicants should be board certified or board eligible in Nephrology.
