About the role

The Division of Renal-Electrolyte and Hypertension in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Associate or Full Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the care of patients with glomerular disease and additional training and expertise in transplant nephrology.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Penn students, residents, and fellows (100 credits per year of active, high-quality teaching).
  • Provide direct clinical inpatient and outpatient nephrology care at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania as a renal consultant.
  • Manage transplant patients and patients with glomerular diseases, nephrolithiasis, electrolyte disorders, complex hypertension, chronic kidney diseases, and acute kidney injury.
  • Attend at an outpatient hemodialysis unit and inpatient dialysis unit.
  • Provide management and/or leadership.

Requirements

  • M.D. degree.
  • Board certification in Nephrology.
  • Outstanding educator.
