About the role

This highly visible, University-wide role helps faculty and staff across every USC school and department achieve the dream of homeownership—often for the first time—while advancing one of the University’s most important recruitment and retention programs.

Job Duties

  • Guides applicants through every stage of the financing process, translating complex financial, legal, and real estate requirements into a clear and supportive experience.
  • Buils strong partnerships with borrowers, real estate agents, banks, escrow officers, and University leadership;
  • Evaluates applications, financing options, legal documents, and program risks;
  • Oversees accounting, payment collection, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Makes recommendations for program improvements based on monitoring the Los Angeles housing market.
  • Supports the University’s broader real estate portfolio by conducting due diligence for property gifts and acquisitions, reviewing title reports, and resolving potential title issues.

Requirements

  • Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, or Finance related focus
  • 3 years of experience in real estate transactions
  • Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum work experience
  • Thorough knowledge of real estate, banking, and/or other financial industry exposure
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task and manage priorities with a sense of urgency
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to cultivate long-term client relationships

Qualifications

  • Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree – Business Administration, Real Estate, or Finance related focus
  • 5 years of experience in real estate transactions
