About the role

This position involves providing comprehensive customer service and operational support in a banking environment. Responsibilities include processing financial transactions, opening deposit accounts, cross-selling banking products, and assisting clients with loan applications. The role also requires conducting outbound calls, resolving account issues, and ensuring compliance with banking regulations and internal policies.

Responsibilities

Perform teller functions such as deposits, currency handling, and check cashing to minimize client wait times.
Open and process new demand and time deposit accounts, including savings, IRAs, and money market accounts.
Identify client needs through consultative conversations and recommend suitable products/services.
Cross-sell bank services and refer clients to banking partners to generate new business.
Assist clients with loan applications and facilitate the processing of these requests.
Deliver excellent client experiences and promptly resolve inquiries or issues.
Conduct outbound calls to clients and prospects, especially during campaign periods.
Support daily banking center operations, including audit controls and on-the-job training of new associates.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of operational updates, regulatory requirements, and product offerings.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.
1 year of Teller experience preferred.

Skills

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on client service.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and office equipment, including calculators and coin counters.
Ability to research and resolve client issues effectively.
Knowledge of banking regulations, risk management, and internal controls.
Ability to perform essential job duties satisfactorily, with flexibility to handle all related responsibilities.
