Unit Manager Job Responsibilities
- Defines and maintains the standards of nursing practice within the facility
- Implements nursing policy and procedure and ensures smooth operation of the clinical department
- Manages and oversees all nursing staff
- Provides planning, organization, education, supervision, and evaluation of all services provided in the facility
- Verifies that all department staff is properly trained to perform their required duties
- Ensures that operation of the Nursing Department remains consistently within budget
- Ensures continued adherence to all federal, state, and local regulations
- Experience with the applicable state Survey Rules & Regulations, Medicare and Medicaid Requirements
Unit Qualifications
- 5+ years of RN or LPN experience
- Current WI Registered Nurse (RN) license or LPN License
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Thorough knowledge of state and federal regulations in long-term care
- Experience with the applicable state Survey Rules & Regulations, Medicare and Medicaid
