Unit Manager
About the role
The Unit Manager oversees hourly/bargaining unit employees to meet productivity and quality targets. Responsibilities include training and developing employees, preparing and maintaining records, coordinating model changeovers, ensuring safety and health, and managing compliance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Responsibilities
- Manage hourly/bargaining unit employees to meet quality and productivity targets.
- Train and develop employees, evaluate performance, and provide constructive feedback.
- Prepare and maintain employee records, timekeeping records, and production records.
- Cook model changeovers, ensure products are manufactured according to the bill of materials and work instructions, and backflush daily to ensure parts transform into finished goods.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by enforcing organizational standards and adhering to regulations.
- Manage the hourly workforce in compliance with the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
- A high school diploma is required, with some college coursework preferred.
- A minimum of 1 year of leadership experience is required.
- Strong problem-solving, supervisory, and leadership skills are essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Effective, efficient oral and written communication skills are necessary, including the ability to write emails, fact sheets, etc.
- Familiarity with timekeeping systems and SAP is beneficial.
- Electromechanical diagnostic knowledge of major appliances is advantageous.
Physical Requirements
- Work in a production factory environment requiring the ability to walk throughout the facility and stand for long periods of time.
- Operate standard office equipment and keyboards in close proximity to others.
- Bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds on an infrequent basis.

Compensation Statement
The starting salary will be determined by several factors, including experience, education, training, certification, and location. You may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award, commissions, and program-specific awards.
