Unit Manager

Position Summary

The Unit Manager is responsible for coordinating and supervising nursing care on an assigned unit, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards while promoting a positive and supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and clinical care delivery on assigned unit
• Supervise and support nursing staff, including CNAs and nurses
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and facility regulations
• Monitor resident care plans and ensure accurate documentation
• Conduct rounds and assess resident conditions, addressing concerns promptly
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure quality outcomes
• Assist with staffing, scheduling, and staff development
• Participate in care plan meetings and communicate with families as needed
• Support infection control, safety, and quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in the state of Virginia
• Minimum 1–2 years of nursing experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of clinical practices and regulatory standards
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
