Unit-Based Nurse Educator – 6 Central Transplant Unit

Position Overview

The Unit-Based Nurse Educator provides dedicated education and competency support for the 6 Central Transplant Unit. In this role, you will partner with nursing leadership, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams.

What You’ll Do

• Facilitate orientation for new transplant unit nursing staff
• Care for ongoing education and competency validation
• Support competency validation and ongoing clinical skill development
• Collaborate with leadership to support quality, safety, and performance improvement initiatives
• Serve as a clinical resource for evidence-based practice
• Promote professional growth and a culture of continuous learning
• Provide flexibility for occasional nights and weekends to meet unit needs

Required

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Active Registered Nurse license from the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Minimum of 3 years of cardiac specialty nursing experience
• Preferred 1 to 3 years of experience in education, training, or staff development
• Clinical Expertise: Experience with liver and kidney transplants, urology procedures, colorectal surgeries, and bariatric surgeries
