About the role
The role involves delivering a fundamental understanding of adult learning principles and practicing as a lifelong learner adaptable to changing learning strategies within the healthcare organization.
Responsibilities
- Affirms educational needs and facilitates learner development and skill training of clinical staff.
- Utilizes innovative teaching strategies, assessment skills, and evaluates outcomes.
- Performs learning needs assessments, develops educational trainings, and evaluates their effectiveness.
- Assists with the orientation of new employees and develops a learning plan for improving identified deficiencies.
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to support and evaluate emergency response scenarios.
- Supports nurse residency programs using strategic learning methodologies like simulation, lecture case studies, and virtual reality.
Requirements
- Basic English language proficiency.
- Graduate of a nursing program approved by an accrediting agency.
- Current full, active, and unrestricted registration as a professional nurse.
- Exception: Temporary appointment for those without licensure pending completion of the bridge program.
Qualifications
- Basic education requirements for various grades and levels.
- Dimension requirements for each grade and level within the online assessment.
- MSN in Nursing Education preferred.
- BSN required.
