About the role

The role involves delivering a fundamental understanding of adult learning principles and practicing as a lifelong learner adaptable to changing learning strategies within the healthcare organization.

Responsibilities

  • Affirms educational needs and facilitates learner development and skill training of clinical staff.
  • Utilizes innovative teaching strategies, assessment skills, and evaluates outcomes.
  • Performs learning needs assessments, develops educational trainings, and evaluates their effectiveness.
  • Assists with the orientation of new employees and develops a learning plan for improving identified deficiencies.
  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to support and evaluate emergency response scenarios.
  • Supports nurse residency programs using strategic learning methodologies like simulation, lecture case studies, and virtual reality.

Requirements

  • Basic English language proficiency.
  • Graduate of a nursing program approved by an accrediting agency.
  • Current full, active, and unrestricted registration as a professional nurse.
  • Exception: Temporary appointment for those without licensure pending completion of the bridge program.

Qualifications

  • Basic education requirements for various grades and levels.
  • Dimension requirements for each grade and level within the online assessment.
  • MSN in Nursing Education preferred.
  • BSN required.

  • Knowledge of adult learning principles.
  • Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate educational needs.
  • Innovative teaching strategies and assessment skills.
  • Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
