Medical/Surgical Unit-Based Clinical Nurse Educator

About the Role

The Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) will support and collaborate with the 2 North Leadership Team and the Department of Professional Development and Nursing Excellence to provide a framework of services that promote the growth and development of nursing within Griffin Health Services.

The CNE will assist with orientation and onboarding of all nursing staff, including Student Nurse Interns, develop and implement relevant competencies and in-service programs, and collaborate with the nursing leadership team in identifying areas where education is necessary. The CNE will also assist in the development and implementation of educational programs for nurses and nursing support staff.

Responsibilities

• Support and collaborate with the 2 North Leadership Team and the Department of Professional Development and Nursing Excellence.
• Assist with orientation and onboarding of all nursing staff, including Student Nurse Interns.

• Collaborate with the nursing leadership team to identify areas where education is necessary.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) is required; MSN preferred.
• 2-4 years of clinical experience in an acute care setting.
• Current Connecticut licensure in clinical field.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA.

Qualifications

• Specialty or education certification preferred.
