Registered Nurse - Clinical Educator

As an RN Clinical Educator, you'll play a key role in enhancing clinical excellence, driving evidence-based practice, and supporting a culture of continuous learning across the organization. This regional role is based in Madison, Wisconsin, and supports all Wisconsin ministries. The position is fully onsite, with work conducted from an onsite office or through travel to other sites within Wisconsin. No remote work is permitted.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with nurse managers and staff to assess learning needs and competencies.
• Develops, implements, and evaluates educational plans/programs and utilizes methods, measurements, and tools to evaluate achievement of learning goals.
• Identifies and/or develops teaching tools and instructional materials.
• Maintains training records of educational activities in the Learning Management System or similar system.
• Applies evidence-based practice and scientific knowledge in healthcare to nursing practice, ensuring care is delivered based on patient’s age-specific and clinical needs.
• Demonstrates professional nursing standards defined in the professional practice model.
• Uses the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses to guide responses to evolving health and nursing needs of patients.
• Creates clinical scenarios for simulation and drill training.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• Three years of registered nurse experience.
• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of work location (Wisconsin, Illinois, Missouri, or Oklahoma) or a compact state.
• Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).

Physical Requirements

• Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
• Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
• Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
• Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication; ability to hear alarms and malfunctioning machinery.
• Frequent keyboard use/data entry.
• Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, and gripping.
• Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
• Rare climbing.

• Comfort with creating clinical scenarios for simulation and drill training.

Schedule

• Standard work hours: Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
• Very limited evening or weekend hours, determined by department needs.
• No on-call required.
• Travel throughout Wisconsin to support drills and simulations is required.
