About the role
As an Unarmed Security Officer Train Station Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will support a secure environment through routine patrols and professional interactions.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to government facility visitors, employees, and/or contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor access points and verify credentials in accordance with established site procedures; report unauthorized access attempts and/or suspicious activity to the appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established notification and documentation protocols.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of government buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Prepare accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and other required documentation; communicate observations and issues to site leadership and/or emergency responders as directed.
Requirements
- Have at least one year of security-related experience.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Pepper spray certification is preferred.
- Handcuffing certification is preferred.
- Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and batons is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
