About the role
As a Unarmed Security Officer Train Depot Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for visitors and staff. You will conduct routine patrols, report observations, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities in accordance with site procedures
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of government facility buildings, grounds, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity
- Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and contractor activity; report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to site leadership and/or emergency personnel
- Prepare accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift handoff information in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements
Requirements
- Possess at least one year of security-related experience
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
Qualifications (preferred)
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and batons
- Baton certification
- Pepper spray certification
Pay and schedule
Pay Rate: $26.79 / Hour
Position Type: Full Time
Schedule: Daytime shifts — Mon 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM, Tue 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM, Sat 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, Sun 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
