Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children is Hawai'i’s only maternity, newborn and pediatric specialty hospital. With 253 beds, the not-for-profit hospital delivers 6,000 babies a year and serves as a medical teaching and research facility. Specialty services include intensive care for infants and children, 24-hour emergency pediatric and adult care, critical care air transport, and high-risk perinatal care. The hospital is home to the Kapi'olani Women’s Center, the Women’s Cancer Center, and community programs such as specialty pediatric clinics, the Kapi'olani Child Protection Center, and the Sex Abuse Treatment Center.
Our highly trained Ultrasound technicians work with physicians to utilize high-resolution ultrasound imaging technology for a variety of exams, including comprehensive obstetrical monitoring. The facility meets the stringent guidelines of the American Institute for Ultrasound in Medicine and is the only one of its kind in the state.
About the role
As the ARDMS certified Ultrasound Technologist, you will perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations to ensure Imaging Services at Kapi‘olani Medical Center for Women & Children provides quality diagnostic services and care for patients and their families.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations in accordance with established protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians to utilize high-resolution ultrasound imaging technology for various exams, including obstetrical monitoring.
- Ensure high-quality patient care and adherence to procedure and protocol.
Requirements
- Formal training in Ultrasound.
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
- Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card.
Qualifications
Preferred:
- One (1) year of clinical sonography experience.

58.97 - 62.07 USD per hour
