Ultrasound Technician/RDMS $9,000 (0.9 FTE) Sign-on Bonus for New Hires Only

About the role

The role requires an enhanced knowledge in sonography/ultrasound, specific expertise and skills for maintaining a safe environment, and a basic understanding of anatomy, physiology, and physics relevant to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provides imaging services and transportation to patients of all ages.
• Explains and communicates thoroughly with patients and families.
• Upholds safety standards and follows protocols to provide quality service.
• Ensures adherence to JCAHO standards and uses I-CARE principles.
• Prioritizes customer and patient satisfaction using AIDET principles.
• Collaborates with other departments and personnel for comprehensive care.
• Maintains a safe and clean ultrasound environment and participates in quality control.
• Communicates inventory and supply needs to supervisors and manages resources efficiently.
• Facilitates and coordinates services, serves as a contact person, and informs other shifts of changes.
• Performs duties necessary for per diem positions, including working holidays and providing two-week notice of resignation.
• Functions proficiently in specified areas with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Registry eligible by ARDMS.
• Should obtain RDMS and RVT certifications within 24 months of eligibility.
• New hires must be RDMS and RVT certified within 12 months of hire.
• Must adhere to DCH Behavioral Standards and fulfill education requirements including CBT’s, in-services, and meetings.
• Must be proficient in specified areas with or without reasonable accommodation.
