Job Summary
Under general supervision and following established procedures, operates highly technical Ultrasound equipment which produces high-frequency sound to acquire images for use by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies. Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed high-frequency sound for diagnosis. Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required. Works effectively with patients and the patient's families and maintains a cooperative relationship with interdepartmental personnel.
Essential Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved/accredited School of Ultrasound
- Must be RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) or ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Sonographer) and have BLS Certification
- One year of previous experience is required
- Working knowledge of CR and PACS is preferred
Pay
A commencement bonus of $10,000.00 is eligible, with 50% payable at or around the hire date and the remaining 50% payable after six (6) months of continuous employment.
