About the role

This position involves performing diagnostic medical ultrasound imaging exams to aid in disease diagnosis and organ assessment, ensuring patient safety and high-quality imaging.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for ultrasound imaging exams
• Operate ultrasound equipment to capture diagnostic images
• Assess patient comfort and safety during procedures
• Document exam data accurately and thoroughly
• Maintain ultrasound equipment through routine calibration and cleaning
• Interact professionally with physicians, co-workers, and patients
• Adhere to quality control standards and hospital policies

Requirements

• Completion of an approved ultrasound technology program
• ARDMS registration
• Certifications in abdomen and OB/GYN imaging
• Current BLS certification
• Compliance with continuing medical education (CME) standards
• Focus on patient care across all age groups

Qualifications

• At least one year of ultrasound experience
• Bachelor of Science in Diagnostic Medical Sonography
