Ultrasonographer
Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital opened on Jan. 24, 1955 as a 238-bed community hospital. Today, the hospital is a 1,101-bed major academic and referral center with Level I adult trauma and Level II pediatric trauma designations. The hospital has 43 residency and fellowship programs with 454 residents and fellows. Corewell is the exclusive clinical partner of the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine, with more than 1,400 Corewell Health doctors on faculty.
About the role
Under site designate leader, and according to established policies and procedures, performs accurate and efficient Ultrasound exams utilizing appropriate imaging equipment, independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative. Technologists must demonstrate good clinical skills and provide the best possible images for interpretation. Follows Corewell Health philosophy of Patient and Family Centered Care at all times.
Qualifications
- Required associate's degree or equivalent
- Graduate of Diagnostic Ultrasound Program or equivalent
- Minimal experience as gained at student level
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association or CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross upon hire
- One of the following credentials with 1 year of experience:
- CRT-Sonographer (S) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography EXCLUDE Cardiac
- CRT-Breast Sonographer (BS) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography EXCLUDES Cardiac, General, Vascular
- CRT-Abdomen (AB) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography EXCLUDES Cardiac, Vascular
- CRT-Ob/Gyn (OB) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography EXCLUDES Cardiac, Vascular
- CRT-Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, Registered (RDCS) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography Cardiac
- CRT-Cardiac Sonographer, Registered (RCS) - Cardiac
- CRT-Vascular Technologist (VT) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography within 1 year of hire required for Vascular Department

Schedule
- Full time, 40 hours per week
- Shift: Evening (3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.)
- Days worked: Monday to Friday
- Weekend frequency: Variable weekends, rotating holidays, and call
